Quinn Xavier Hernandez
Raised just outside of Charlotte, NC, Quinn Xavier Hernandez is a theatremaker currently residing in Atlanta, GA.
His plays have been featured at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center (MOMMA; National Theater Institute Playwrights' Lab) and at the ImproStudio in L.A. (STORM CLOUDS FOR LONELY HEARTS; Wishbone Theatre Collective).
When not writing, Quinn can often be found in the director’s chair; his most recent directorial credits include HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE (Clemson Players), AS BEES IN HONEY DROWN (Theatre Unhinged), BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON (Warehouse Theatre; assistant director), IN THE HEIGHTS (Glow Lyric Theatre; assistant director), and IN THE NEXT ROOM (OR THE VIBRATOR PLAY) (Warehouse Theatre; assistant director).
He currently serves as the first-ever apprentice for Working Title Playwrights, Atlanta's premiere New Play Development organization. Quinn received his B.A. in Production Studies in the Performing Arts (Theatre) with a minor in Dramatic Writing from Clemson University in May of 2018. He is also a proud alumnus of the National Theater Institute’s Advanced Playwriting program (Spring 2017).
NOTE FROM PLAYWRIGHT
My two favorite books-turned-movies of all time are Matilda and The Help; as a playwright, my work is interested in the spectrum between the two.
