PRISON MONOLOGUES - January`s Alibi Part I - January [EXPLICIT]

Author Daniel Guyton
Fayetteville, GA

MONOLOGUE DESCRIPTION

January's husband Charles won full custody over their child Allegro, in part because of January's substance abuse problems. Then, somebody murdered Charles, making January the primary suspect. Here, she explains to police her side of the story.

Time: Present Day

Situation: January's husband Charles was a vegetarian, which seems to make her even angrier than the fact that he won full custody over their son. It's unclear if she actually committed the murder - but it's very clear that she harbors resentment towards him, in part because of his dietary choices.

Subject Matter: EXPLICIT, Murder, Interrogation, Detective Work, Vegan, Vegetarian, Substance Abuse

Note From Playwright: I wrote this as part of a much larger piece entitled "Prison Monologues", about 4 men and 4 women, each arrested for separate crimes.
