LOST GIRLS - Is It Fate? - Allison

Louisville, KY

Allison Anders reflects on her own challenges and remembers the disappearance of a local girl, Dana Lampton, each year by returning to the field where Dana was abducted and leaving an item in her memory.

Time: Early 1990`s

Situation: A worn patch in a field. Tall grass surrounds the patch. Apartment buildings are visible in the background. The site of a kidnapping.

Subject Matter: Kidnapping, Divorce, Memorials, Empathy

Note from the Playwright: This piece was based on a real life abduction in my hometown. I think it is important to remember those who are taken and work to raise awareness about the issue. I think this character is unique in her level of identification, even a strange envy, she has for Dana.‚Ä®
