Kelly is a poet, playwright and workshop facilitator who leads nourishing experiences for writers that attend to both artistic craft and personal growth. Kelly has been involved in facilitating new play development for playwrights for many years. She’s a former president of Playwrights’ Platform, Boston, and she founded and produces the Our Voices Festival of Women Playwrights at Wellesley College, now in its 12th year. Kelly’s award-winning plays have been produced around the US and Canada, and are published by YouthPlays, Brooklyn, Heuer, ArtAge and in Smith & Kraus Audition Anthologies. She teaches the annual Play Lab Intensive at the Annual Conference of the International Women’s Writing Guild, and leads Your Memoir As Monologue workshops in person and on the web. Kelly’s local and national workshops for writers draw on her training in expressive arts therapies, including psychodrama and playback theatre. She’s author of a non-fiction book, Before You Forget – The Wisdom of Writing Diaries for Your Children and her poems, short fiction and creative non-fiction are published in many literary magazines. Kelly’s award-winning poetry chapbook, All These Cures, was published by Lit House Press in 2014, and her award-winning chapbook, Tree of the Apple, was published by Two of Cups Press, 2017. Kelly serves on the boards & faculties of The International Women’s Writing Guild and the Transformative Language Arts Network.
