Emily Bice is a Senior at the University of Michigan pursuing a Bachelor of Theatre Arts and a Minor in Creative Writing. At Michigan, she works as a writer for the Michigan Daily, performs in an improvisational comedy troupe, and performs as a member of the CRLT Players, a social theatre group. Recently, she directed a developmental workshop of a student's play titled, THIS IS FOREVER. After college, she will pursue a career in writing and creating art, wherever that may take her. In her free time, she enjoys coffee shops (as every writer does), working out and playing with dogs!
NOTE FROM PLAYWRIGHT
I believe that theatre, television and film have the power to incite change and create discussions on important topics. I'm interested in telling stories about relevant social issues that will reach a wide audience, so a discussion on the topic is sparked. Creating strong roles for women is incredibly important to me. I am driven to write because it's the only thing I can imagine doing.
