MONOLOGUE DESCRIPTION

Time: Contemporary                                

Situation: Moonlit night. Puerto Rico. Pedro has climbed to a high area in the rainforest known as El Yunque to ask an extra-terrestrial being for help in restoring the power after a hurricane destroyed the island’s electricity system. He once visited this place in his youth as well. Up to this moment, his requests to the alien have gone unanswered. His pleading intensifies as he explains why he needs the power restored.
