PLAY DESCRIPTION

A rowdy group of American women come together across time, space and culture to ask the political question of today: “what DO women want?”

MONOLOGUE DESCRIPTION

Time: Contemporary (Present), Pre-Contemporary                                   

Situation: Grace is at a party where all the other guests are women of different races, ages, and religions, from throughout American history. They are discussing a female presidential candidate (who may or may not be Hillary Clinton) and why they do or don't want her to win.

Subject Matter: Politics, Feminism, Intersectionality, Civil Rights, Hardship, Subjugation, Strength, Indomitability, Race, Gender, Future, Identity, Women, Hillary Clinton

Note from Playwright: Grace, who is originally from 1960’s Oklahoma, has been through everything. She's lost a lot, seen a lot, and now finds most things funny in comparison. She won't get excited for anything but the real deal.
