BIRTHDAY GETAWAY is about Joe, a 67-year-old widower, who has run away to a casino hotel for his birthday, even though he knew his family was planning a party. When his two grown sons come to find out why, they discover Dad needs a lot more for his birthday than a nice pair of pants picked out by one of their wives.

MONOLOGUE DESCRIPTION

Situation: 67-year-old Joe finally lets his sons know what has driven him away from his family on this, his birthday.
